Here’s the backstory: Mr. Johnny Hollywood has an english comedy show in Cologne and I feel very blessed that he once asked me to perform in english at his show – what a crazy idea! I was thrilled – I usually perform in german, but since all the comedy I watch is english (because imho english comedy is better), so I thought “why not?”.

You can watch my first performance here and again I feel very blessed that that video kinda went viral and already has over 230,000 views.

A take on that Gotye song “Somebody that I used to know”, particularly the version of “Walk off the earth” – by the way “Morgen kommt der weihnachtsmann” has the same melody as “twinkle, twinkle, little star”.

Jedes Jahr gibt es in den USA eine Veranstaltung ähnlich dem Bundespresseball, nennt sich “White House Correspondent’s Dinner”, wo die Presse und der Präsident gemeinsam dinieren und Reden halten. Aber oh, es ist lustig. Die Hauptattraktion ist eine Rede, die der Präsident hält, gefolgt von einer Rede eines Comedians. Und Präsident Obama hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren schon als selbstironscher Meister der guten Gags und des unwiderstehlichen Timings bewiesen, so auch diesmal. Hier sein Hammerrede in ganzer Länge, da können sich viele Comedians hierzulande noch eine Scheibe von abschneiden:

Und nur der Vollständigkeit halber der Hauptauftritt, der gute Conan O’Brien, der allerdings ziemlich gegenüber Obama verblasst:
